MISSION STATEMENT
"Gum Branch Fire & Emergency Services, through commitment, compassion, and courage, is dedicated to protecting the lives, homes, and property of our fellow citizens and guests.”
The Gum Branch Fire & Emergency Services is a small 100% volunteer 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing fire protection to the City of Gum Branch and surrounding areas of western Liberty County, Georgia. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area of approximately 69 square miles. We are located at: N 31.83064 / W 081.68285.
The department is always looking for dedicated individuals to serve on the department. If you are interested in joining us, please see the "Join us!" section. Make sure to check out the Fire Service page for general information on what you might be able to expect, or the membership page for details on some of the possible ways you could help us out. You can even download the department application, complete it, and drop it off at the station.
The Gum Branch Fire & Emergency Services is a Class 9 public department located in a 69 square mile rural area. The members are 100% volunteers, operating out of 1 station located on GA Highway 196, west of Hinesville, Georgia.
The department staff consists of the Fire Chief, an Assistant Chief, a Station Captain and Lieutenant. Some members also serve as Administrative Assistants. The department, as part of it's services, conducts both structural and wildland fire supression and prevention, medical assistance as First Responders with Liberty Regional EMS, Public Education, inspections, natural disaster assistance, and provides a variety of special aid to the members of the local community.
