Mission
Statement: The Gum Branch Fire & Emergency Services is a small 100% volunteer non-profit organization serving the City of Gum Branch and the surrounding area of western Liberty County, Georgia. We operate out of 1 station that protects a primarily rural area of approximately 69 square miles. We are located at: N 31.83064 / W 081.68285.
The department is always looking for dedicated individuals to serve on the department. If you are interested in joining us, please see the "Join us!" section. You can even download the department application, complete it, and drop it off at the station. The Gum Branch Fire & Emergency Services is a Class 9 public department located in a 69 square mile rural area. The members are 100% volunteers, operating out of 1 station located on Highway 196, west of Hinesville, Georgia. The department staff consists of the Fire Chief, a Deputy Chief, and a Station Captain. The are also Station, Truck and Training Lieutenants. Some members also serve as Records Coordinator & Financial Coordinator. The department, as part of it's services, conducts both structural and wildland fire supression and prevention, medical assistance as First Responders with Liberty Regional EMS, Public Education, inspections, natural disaster assistance, and provides a variety of special aid to the members of the local community.
